    Hello sir, please come out with a video on cqi, 5qi, mcs in 5g nr. My ex bosstold me that cqi is not there in nr and instead it has 5qi(5g qci) but no cqi. Three different mcs tables are there in 5g but first two are same as in lte and 3rd one is for low SE(urllc). But still I have seen somewhere that nr too has three different cqi tables(again first two are same as was in lte). In one interview also when I told that there is no cqi in nr and it has new terms called 5qi.but the interviewer did not believe me and as a result I got rejected.

    The antenna directivity is controlled by two modules; precoder and beam forming. You mentioned PMI is used to decide beam for a given UE. That is ok at precoder module level but how then the UE beam is further enhanced at beamforming module.

      There isn't a SINR value defined for this but it is defined as the SINR where the UE is unable to decode PDCCH with a specific AGG level. So, it is based on UE itself because some UEs might be able to decode this PDCCH at a higher SINR compared to others.

      Yes, outer loop works on BLER which is based on ACK/NACK. So, MCS is adjusted based on that.

    Thank you , one question which often confuses me, so like you said , 32T32R Theoretically will give 8X 4t4R capacity gain , if its so, how many DL MIMO layer will be transmitted from 32T32R , apparently it should be 32 layers which is not the case in practical , Can you please explain this ?

      For Single user, 32T32R or 64T64R, the maximum DL layers supported by a single UE right now are 4. So, the capacity of single UE does not increase. However, these higher Tx antenna units provide better gain and beamforming capabilities which can improve the overall capacity by increasing the quality. But if we talk about multiple users then these higher Tx antennas support MU-MIMO which can increase cell capacity.

Could you please guide me? 1) if RRC Setup Failure Due To No Response and establishment cause is mo signalling then how from the trace analysis we can understand that eNB doesn't response the rrc setup complete msg from UE? 2) and how we can understand from the trace analysis that UE doesn't support the configuration incase of single UE issue?

      1. So, from trace you can see RRC Setup is sent but no RRC Response is received 2. In case of UE issue, you would normally see repetitive RRC attempts

But are these beams form one at a time or they are formed together? These massive MIMO work with multiple beam antenna system or just 1 beam using massive array addressing different user in some sequence?       You mean in the downlink frame? That is PDSCH. In uplink, the dark blue ones are DMRS

      yes, in NSA , there is no RRC so MSG3 is just a PUSCH allocation
